Ukiyo-e featuring Modern Beauty Utaha Kasumigaoka
from "Saekano: How to Raise a Boring Girlfriend"

An original Illustration of Utaha Kasumigaoka from Saekano made by Kurehito Misaki, under the concept of "Oiran" (traditional Japanese garments worn by high-class courtesans during Japan’s Edo Period) and brought to life as an ukiyo-e woodblock print by master craftsman Kazuo Watanabe. Utaha's intricate kimono design was made possible with the use of 17 base woodblocks carved by Mr. Watanabe and colored 78 times by master printer Hideo Yoshida. This is a gem that represents the achievements of craftsmanship unique to ukiyo-e woodblock printing. The "Saekano: How to Raise a Boring Girlfriend" ukiyo-e series "The Most Beautiful Heroines" is the world's first collaborative ukiyo-e to incorporate the technique of "continued painting," through which all three pieces can be connected to form a larger picture. One can either enjoy each individual piece or lay out all three prints of the series together for a powerful and overwhelmingly beautiful panorama display.
